Corporate Mass
Corporate Masses occur three to four times each year and serve as a special opportunity for the Knights to come together as the Body of Christ in communal worship.
The term “corporate” is derived from the word corporal, meaning “of the body,” reminding us that we are united as members of Christ’s Body. At these Masses, our council proudly wears red shirts as a visible sign of solidarity and fraternity. This witness to our parish demonstrates that the Knights of Columbus are not only men of charity and service but also men of deep faith who place worship at the center of their lives. Through this example, we hope to inspire other Catholic men to join us in faith and fellowship.
One of the most significant Corporate Masses is the celebration of our Founder’s Feast Day in mid-August, honoring Blessed Michael McGivney. While the liturgical feast is observed on the weekday of August 13, our council gathers on the closest Sunday so that the greatest number of Knights, along with their wives and families, can join in this special celebration of our faith and heritage.
