
Our Council Leadership
Knights of Columbus Council 13341 is proudly led by Grand Knight Gordon Shellhaas and a dedicated team of officers who guide our mission of charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism. Together, they support over 400 active members—making us one of the largest and most vibrant councils in Florida.​
Council Directors

Membership Director leads recruitment and retention efforts, organizing drives and outreach to grow the council.

The Life Director coordinates pro-life initiatives, supporting activities that protect and value life at all stages.

The Faith Director develops programs that strengthen members’ spiritual lives through prayer, devotions, and religious events.

The Community Director plans service projects and charitable activities that benefit the local community.

The Family Director organizes events and programs that support, honor, and strengthen families within the parish and council.

The PR Director promotes the council’s events and charitable works by managing communications through parish bulletins, social media, and local media, helping to build awareness and support
1. Grand Knight (GK)
-
The chief executive officer of the council.
-
Presides over meetings, oversees all council activities, and represents the council at official functions.

Works closely with the chaplain and officers to ensure programs align with the Knights’ principles.
2. Deputy Grand Knight (DGK)
-
Second-in-command to the Grand Knight.
-
Assists the GK with duties and fills in when the GK is absent.

Often chairs key committees or special projects.
3. Chancellor
-
Encourages member participation and helps with recruitment and retention.

Acts as a support to the GK and DGK in council matters.
4. Recorder
-
Keeps accurate minutes of all council meetings.

Maintains official records and correspondence.
5. Financial Secretary (FS)
-
Appointed by the Supreme Knight (not elected).

Handles membership records, collects dues, and submits reports to the Supreme Council.

Works closely with the treasurer.
6. Treasurer
-
Manages council funds, deposits money, and issues payments.
-
Keeps accurate financial records.
7. Lecturer
-
Provides educational, spiritual, or entertaining programs at meetings.

Encourages members to grow in faith and fellowship.
8. Advocate
-
Advises on council procedures and bylaws.
-
Ensures meetings and actions follow proper rules.
9. Warden
-
Ensures the council chamber is set up for meetings.
-
Oversees the inside and outside guards.
-
Checks membership cards at meetings.
10. Inside Guard
-
Stationed at the entrance to the council chamber.
-
Checks membership cards and admits members.
11. Outside Guard
-
Watches the outside door and admits visitors to the meeting hall.
-
Assists the Inside Guard.
12. Trustees (1-Year, 2-Year, 3-Year)
-
Three past or current members who oversee financial matters.
-
Review council books and audit reports.
13. Chaplain
-
Appointed by the Grand Knight with pastor approval.
-
Provides spiritual guidance and supports faith programs.
